Damon Evans finally got the boot for being caught in a car, drunk driving, an errant woman's panties in his lap. As a Georgia Tech fan I think we should all lie low and not throw stones. No school is perfect at the people is chooses to work, or the players is asks to play. People are fallible.
This does not reflect on others in our state's long line of respected and even historic ADs, such as Bobby Dodd, Homer Rice and even I dare say Vince Dooley.
That said, Damon Evans did something I respect in no man, cheated on his wife.
No extra money should have been awarded for past services.
He embarrassed his alma mater, he embarrassed employer, he disrespected his marriage.
Evans’ settlement: 3 months salary plus previously earned $100,000 bonus
