Climate Policy Shell Game

Found this today, an article written in 2010 that reals hidden purpose behind the global thrust of climate control. Mr. Ottmar Edenhofer, a co-chair of the IPCC Working Group III, had this to say about an upcoming summit...
Climate policy has almost nothing to do anymore with environmental protection, says the German economist Edenhofer. The now past world climate summit in Cancun was actually an economy summit during which the distribution of the world’s resources will be negotiated.
Go to the link:
IPCC Official: “Climate Policy Is Redistributing The World’s Wealth”
IPCC is an acronym for Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
Clear enough, climate change is about control of industry and wealth redistribution.

Israel Does Not Exist

Linked is a brief story about where many Europeans have arrived at. The holocaust is commonly denied by many persons living in Europe. Despite a history that makes clear that portions of the culture are prone supporting the extermination of Jews, the current leadership appears to be making it a priority to ignore the actions is Muslim terrorists and danger they bring to their new home.
Here in the United States, we are following those cultural developments. That said, we have a political class, including both Democrats and Republicans, but primarily Democrats, that is increasingly using the vague objectivity of political correctness as a filter, even a shield, that deflects, the logical progression to increasing defensive strength when a threat is perceived. In education, we see evidence of indoctrination to political correctness. The teaching of anti-Israeli beliefs is evident at all levels. In advanced education we see both physical and subversive hostility toward any expression of support for Jews or Israel's right to self defense.
Common sense tells us that what is seen, is real.
  • Every year, there hundreds, thousands, of Muslim attacks on innocent peoples, all over the world.
  • In Israel, we see that Palestinians live with full rights of citizenship within the population.
  • In the less governed countries about the middle east, we see the genocide of Christians and Jews.
Those things are real, and indisputable.
So why the impotence of leadership? All of of the European governments are primarily liberal and socialist, or socialist leaning. The root of all liberalism is anchored in self-loathing. The self-loathing person feels that does not have the authority to apply morality and laws upon others. An odd thing is that in taking that liberal position, human hostility, that is in all of us, is directed at those that illuminate the weakness and futility of the progressive position.
In Europe the Muslim culture is seen the irrepressible future, therefore it should not be resisted. The existence of Israel stands as a reminder of what it is like for middle eastern country to be secularly governed.
Belgian crisis center operator tells bomb victims that Israel doesn't exist (UPDATE) ~ Elder Of Ziyon - Israel News
In the end the employee of the emergency call center was fired. Who this person is is not divulged, but if he or she is a Muslim immigrant, he or she should be deported.

A Modern Love Story

An elderly couple had just learned how to send text messages on their mobile phones.
The wife was a romantic type and the husband was more of a no-nonsense guy.

One afternoon the wife went out to meet a friend for coffee.
She decided to send her husband a romantic text message and she wrote:
"If you are sleeping, send me your dreams. If you are laughing, send me your smile. If you are eating, send me a bite. If you are drinking, send me a sip. If you are crying, send me your tears. I love you."

The husband texted back to her:

"I'm on the toilet. Please advise."

King Passes

Feeling a little pissy today, please forgive the bad language ahead.

Congress.org presents MEGAVOTE for March 21, 2016 and Georgia's 13th Congressional District.
Recent Congressional Votes

  • Senate: King Nomination – Confirmation
  • Senate: Genetically Modified Organism Food Labeling – Cloture
  • House: Air Pollution – Passage
  • House: Small Business Broadband Deployment – Passage
  • House: Authorize House Amicus Brief for Supreme Court Immigration Case– Adoption

Upcoming Congressional Bills

  • House: Standard Merger and Acquisition Reviews

The Senate is not in session this week.
Music to my eyes and ears.

Recent Senate Votes:
King Nomination – Confirmation, Vote Confirmed (49-40, 11 Not Voting)
The Senate confirmed the nomination of John B. King, Jr. to be secretary of Education.
Sen. Johnny Isakson voted NO
Sen. David Perdue voted NO
These days, if the Senators vote in a "conservative approved" manner, it might only mean that they have enough political cover from the Majority Leader to make an appearance of giving a shit about what the voters want. In this case what the voters want is for the Federal government to remove themselves from public education, in that reducing the amount of taxes it collects as a means of redistribution. So clean up the thought, get rid of the Department of Education, all that it has ever accomplished is to raise the cost of an education that is declining in value.

Genetically Modified Organism Food Labeling – Cloture, Vote Rejected (48-49, 3 Not Voting)
The Senate rejected a McConnell, R-Ky., motion to invoke cloture on the motion to concur in the House message to an unrelated bill (S 764) with a Senate amendment containing the genetically modified organism food labeling measure. The amendment would have blocked state and local labeling requirements for genetically engineered food and seeds. It also would have required the Agriculture Department to establish a national voluntary labeling standard for bioengineered foods, and later would have required the department to issue a mandatory standard if there is not at least "70 percent substantial participation" in voluntary labeling. Sixty votes were required to invoke cloture.
Sen. Johnny Isakson voted YES
Sen. David Perdue voted YES
Here we have Senators voting on whether or not to continue discussion on rules for labeling bio-engineered foods. Notice in the description that they are deciding on whether or not the states can impose their own rules.  Tell more where in the Constitution it sales that the Federal government can control food labeling? The Commerce clause? That perversion has been used in so many different ways now that it has no meaning at all. If anything is clear in the Constitution , it is that uncovered legal issues are reserved for the states. This shit is just wrong all over. In the end cloture was not invoked, so the assholes will continue to discuss the issues that are none of of its business anyway.  In the end the rules will be written by some agri-business lobbyist anyway.

Recent House Votes:
Air Pollution – Passage Vote Passed (231-183, 19 Not Voting)
The measure establishes separate standards under which electricity-generating power plants that primarily use waste coal as a fuel source could comply with EPA's Cross-State Air Pollution Rule and the Mercury and Air Toxics Standards (MATS) Rule, by blocking reductions in emissions allowances for sulfur dioxide as it relates to the rule and by setting an alternative standard for sulfur dioxide under the rule.
Rep. David Scott voted NO
Having said this before, Plant Bowen in Georgia is one of the greatest coal fired electric plant s in the world. This and other plants in my state are having to convert to natural gas, which momentarily is a low priced energy source. What is best for the system is a multiple energy sourced platform. But the governments wonks i their wisdom have been trotting down dickhead's path to oblivious oblivion, removing coal from the equation. Liberal global warming bullshit meets liberal government expansive control, result is more cost for the consumer, and less food on the table for workers in coal producing states.

Small Business Broadband Deployment – Passage Vote Passed (411-0, 22 Not Voting)
The bill exempts, for a period of five years after enactment, small-business broadband Internet access providers that have 250,000 or fewer subscribers from the enhanced disclosure requirements of the Federal Communications Commission 2015 net neutrality rule.
Rep. David Scott voted YES
The net neutrality rule is the construct of people who wish to dumb down the populace and feed them the bullshit they have to offer. That they even voted on delaying the reporting aspects suggests to me that there is things in there that they hope to deflect until an election in the unknown future. In the end, somebody is going to get the strong arm of the law telling you what you cannot say.

Authorize House Amicus Brief for Supreme Court Immigration Case– AdoptionVote Passed (234-186, 14 Not Voting)
The measure authorizes the Speaker of the House to file as amicus curiae in the Supreme Court on behalf of the House of Representatives regarding the case United States, et al. v. Texas, et al., in support of the position that the Obama administration in that immigration case acted in a manner that is inconsistent with its duties under the Constitution and laws of the United States.
Rep. David Scott voted NO
I am soo... proud, my Congressman voted to uphold the President's illegal behavior, behavior that I might add is already in direct conflict with the oath of office taken, twice.

Upcoming Votes:
Standard Merger and Acquisition Reviews - HR2745
The measure would harmonize the standards in antitrust cases that the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Justice Department must meet before seeking a preliminary injunction against a proposed transaction. It also would require the FTC to resolve such cases through the federal courts rather than through administrative action.
Harmonize, ha!

The Wild Colonial Boy

They sing this in the bar in my favoite movie. Next week will be my annual renewal of endearment for The Quiet Man.

There was a wild colonial boy, Jack Duggan was his name.
He was born and bred in Ireland in a town called Castlemaine.
He was his father’s only son, his mother’s pride and joy
And dearly did his parents love their wild colonial boy.

At the early age of sixteen years he left his native home,
And to Australia’s sunny shore he was inclined to roam.
He robbed the rich to feed the poor, he stabbed James McEvoy
A terror to Australia was the wild colonial boy.

One morning on the prairie as Jack Duggan rode along
Listening to the mockingbird singing a cheerful song
Out stepped three troopers fierce and grim, Kelly, Davis and Fitzroy
They all set out to capture him, the wild colonial boy.

Surrender now, Jack Duggan, for you see we’re three to one
Surrender in the Queen’s high name, for you’re a plundering son.
Jack drew two pistols from his belt and glared upon Fitzroy,
“I’ll fight, but not surrender,” said the wild colonial boy.

He fired a shot at Kelly which brought him to the ground
And turning then to Davis he received a fatal wound,
A bullet pierced his proud young heart from the rifle of Fitzroy,
And that was how they captured him, the wild colonial boy.

The Wild Colonial Boy was a great favourite of John Ford’s. It concerns an Australian bushranger and outlaw of Irish extraction called Jack Duggan (originally Doolin). One of the lines was changed to fit the plot of The Quiet Man – “He robbed the rich to feed the poor, he stabbed James McEvoy” – became “He robbed the wealthy Squireen, all arms he did destroy”

Half Baked

Half baked bricks, if the government has its way.
Congress.org presents MEGAVOTE for March 7, 2016 and Georgia's 13th Congressional District.
Recent Congressional Votes

  • Senate: Opioid Abuse - Anti-Kickback Penalties
  • Senate: Opioid Abuse - Additional Funding
  • House: Ensuring Terminated Providers are Removed from Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program - Passage
  • House: Regulatory Action and Kilns - Passage

Upcoming Congressional Bills

  • Senate: Opioid Abuse

The House is not in session this week.
Good news travels fast, but not often enough.
Recent Senate Votes
Opioid Abuse – Anti-Kickback Penalties, Vote Rejected (46-50, 4 Not Voting)
The amendment would have increased anti-kickback penalties for doctors prescribing opioids and test a model for limiting Medicare opioid prescriptions. The amendment fell when a budgetary point of order, offered by Wyoming Republican Michael B. Enzi, was sustained. Sixty votes were needed to overcome the point of order.
Sen. Johnny Isakson voted NO
Sen. David Perdue voted NO
Senator shoots, its on the mark, denied. They are probably being very careful about this because ift might get into the campaign donation money they are used to getting from the pharmaceutical companies.
Opioid Abuse – Additional Funding, Vote Rejected (48-47, 5 Not Voting)
The amendment would have provided an additional $600 million for opioid abuse prevention and treatment programs. The amendment fell when a budgetary point of order, offered by Wyoming Republican Michael B. Enzi, was sustained. Sixty votes were needed to overcome the point of order.
Sen. Johnny Isakson voted NO
Sen. David Perdue voted NO
The Senators try to put in the rebound, stick back fails. If you want to slow down opioid abuse start throwing some marginal doctors, whether that be intelligence wise or ethically, in jail. In my observation, much of this is legal purchase via improper prescription.
Recent House Votes
Ensuring Terminated Providers are Removed from Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program – Passage Vote Passed (406-0, 27 Not Voting)
The bill requires states to notify the Health and Human Services (HHS) Department of health care providers who are terminated from the state's Medicaid or Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) program because of fraud or other "for cause" reasons, and for HHS to maintain a database of providers terminated from a state Medicaid or CHIP program or the federal Medicare program in order to prevent such providers from participating in another state's Medicaid program.
Rep. David Scott voted Not Voting
David must have been out taking a dump during the vote. Hope he hit the paper.
Regulatory Action and Kilns – Passage, Vote Passed (238-163, 32 Not Voting)
The measure delays, until after all judicial reviews are completed, new EPA rules that set national emissions standards for hazardous air pollutants for the manufacturing of brick and structural clay products or clay ceramics. This delay applies only for those existing legal actions filed within 60 days of when EPA's rule was published in the Federal Register.
Rep. David Scott voted Not Voting
Wiping his ass? House is right here, government bureaucrats are instituting steps that will make it hard for an industry to survive, that or raise the cost significantly.
Upcoming Votes:
Opioid Abuse - S524
The measure would authorize the Attorney General and Health and Human Services Department to issue grants to states, organizations and local entities for opioid abuse prevention and treatment programs.
In the end, this is about giving money away, to a feeble attempt at regulating human weakness. It does not work. But I feel much better because my Congress is trying.

Let the Girl Try It

Emmylou Harris gets prettier every day, her grey is impressive.
As is her voice.

The One Most Recognize

Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson sing the same Townes Van Zandt classic.

There is one more out there that I want to share.

Townes Daddy

Continuing with the Townes Van Zandt birthday tribute.
Steve Earle named his son after him, before his passing.
I very much enjoy this version of Pancho & Lefty.

Happy Birthday Townes

Wonderful music from a troubled man.
Today Townes Van Zandt would have been 72 years old.
Good stuff.
