The Middle Finger

I am about to loose the nail on my middle finger. This is probably due to 50 years of negative Karma. About a month ago I was throwing a tantrum over a tape measure slicing my finger. In that painful moment, I took the tape measure and threw it across the back yard, on the follow through the end of my middle finger struck a post. Ouch!
Well now, it is hanging by a thread.
Never have lost a nail before.

DOJ Backs Down

For the Feds to give up on this is surprising, the outlook for the beleagured Department of Justice must have been poor, this case is right in the progressive wheelhouse.

It all adds up up to only 82%, so I guess that there are a lot of democrats out there that are not going to participate. Is it not amazing that 19% of any populace would vote for a man that just got out of jail? No doubt there are some people in South Carolina that hate Senator DeMint.

Washaun Ealey Arrested

Another arrest up in Athens, first rate running back with, apparently, a 10 cent head.  The esteemed Atlanta Journal Constitution reports...

“Parking Services employees witnessed the accident, made contact with the driver and advised him to wait because police had been called,” Williamson said. “The driver advised he could not wait and left the scene” after parking the car.

The young man is told to wait for the police and leaves the scene after that, the excuse that he did not know it happened cannot be applied. It will be interesting to see what punishment Coach Richt applies.

Signs are, the UGA management has had enough of this crap.

Edith Shain

On 14-August-1945, America celebrated V-J Day. During a happy New York city parade, Edith Shain, a nurse at Doctor's Hospital was at Times Square. There she met an American sailor home from the war, strangers, their kiss was caught by Life magazine's photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt.
The picture captured the feelings of millions of citizens, pride, accomplishment, pain and happy relief that no more servicemen would die in World War II.
Edit Shain died on June 24th 2010, at the age of 91.
The devotion that these men and women exhibited during World War II is awe inspiring. Not to demean the sacrifice of our current day defenders, they are all brave and have my deep appreciation. It is unfortunate that today's media does not love their servicemen with the same fervor they deride their missions.
People like Edith Shain are leaving us all too quickly.

This is a state where he Democratic Senate candidates have gotten slight up-ticks at election time, that in comparison to the polling goig in. Feingold being in jepardy is a good thing to see but cahnves are the break will go his way.
