Muslims Against Antisemitism

This is encouraging,,,
Muslims Against Antisemitism:
It is important... to note that, in recent years, many Muslims have openly and firmly come out to oppose all forms of Jewish hatred and anti-Zionism.
On April 24, 2014, thirty French imams signed an open letter in Le Monde, in which they denounced antisemitism and terrorism. In the letter, they recognized that "some imams" had for two decades diffused talks and practices subversive of Islam which corrupt (gangrènent) society. They expressed "compassion for all our fellow citizens who have been directly or indirectly affected by terrorism and by the anti-Semitic crimes that have blindly struck our country."
The same letter was signed by over 300 politicians.
It is easy enough to see, be bathed in, evidence of anti-Zionism. You and I can pontificate endlessly on what should happen, but the truth is, the only the Muslims themselves generate the motivation for and actualization of reformation.

Killing Free Speech in Canada

The right has long complained that media and governments work to squelch free speech. Look at what the IRS did to the Tea Party ilk. Limited to secondary media platforms, conservatives have found a means by which to communicate ideas. The left, in recognizing  the growth of conservative ideals, seeks to restrict that free speech by defining it as hateful.
It is true that there is a lot a crap said on the internet, coming from both sides most issues.
Does a balanced platform outweigh the established media bias, I think not.
Killing Free Speech in Canada
China, England and Germany are throwing people in jail for expressing ideas some consider to be hateful. Canada is looking to do the same.
Not all people think speech should be restricted, many recognize the paranoid behaviors being exhibited.
In America, knock on wood, we can let it all hang loose, as long as there are not calls to violent action, it is legal say what you think.
That is good.

Corn Dog Bernie

This morning on the radio, I listened to reports from the Iowa State Fair and how Democratic candidates for President were noshing on such things as pork chops and fried peanut-butter sandwiches. The most appealing, to me, was that Bernie Sanders was walking around eating a corn dog.  The names "corn dog" and "Bernie Sanders", are synonymous.
Interest peaked, did a search as soon as I got to the office and found an ABC news video showing exactly that, an overweight old man, gripping a younger lady's hand and banging down a corn dog the other. In a world without media bias this would be material for the like of Johnny Carson.

When evidence was found, the title for the article was almost as entertaining.

Bernie Sanders braves crowds for a corn dog

The author meant "braves" to be funny, so I will dispense with the obvious comments.
Did everyone at the fair have to pitch-in for the man's dinner?

Don Surber: ABC should drop WSB-TV

ABC President Karey Burke is considering shutting down television production in Georgia.
Don Surber: ABC should drop WSB-TV:
ABC should drop the popular local station, WSB, if they were consistent in their social pressure over Georgia's new abortion law. They won't because it will cost them a great deal in the market when it comes to other products. Threatening action without consistency or thoroughness is no different than a child holding its breath to get what it wants.
The child will breathe when it has too.

The Gun is Civilization

Was poking around a bear spray incident at Park City High School and found a link to this thread in the comments.

But You Are Not In Washington

You are on vacation.
This is robot response to an email I sent imploring my representative to skip the break and work on solving the problems with border security. An email that there was no hope of ever being treated as important.
Thank you for contacting me and my staff. Your input is invaluable as I rely on communication from the district to guide my decisions and actions in the U.S. House of Representatives. Please express your opinions through my website at http://davidscott.house.gov as often as you can and feel free to contact my offices directly with your questions and concerns. Lastly, make sure you frequent our website for the latest updates on the work that I'm doing in Washington and for other helpful information including my legislative record, requesting help with government agencies, and visiting Washington, DC.
It is my honor to represent the Thirteenth District of Georgia and I hope to have your continued correspondence on matters of concern to you.
Sincerely,
David Scott
Member of Congress
Many such emails have been received from David Scott, the suggestion that opinions be expressed via his website have given me pause to think that he ignores all such emails. Fact is, he ignores virtually everything I stand for.
