"While it might not be popular to say in the wake of the recent social disorder, the true plight of black people has little or nothing to do with the police or what has been called 'systemic racism.' Instead, we need to look at the responsibilities of those running our big cities.

"Some of the most dangerous big cities are: St. Louis, Detroit, Baltimore, Oakland, Chicago, Memphis, Atlanta, Birmingham, Newark, Buffalo and Philadelphia. The most common characteristic of these cities is that for decades, all of them have been run by liberal Democrats. Some cities — such as Detroit, Buffalo, Newark and Philadelphia — haven't elected a Republican mayor for more than a half-century. On top of this, in many of these cities, blacks are mayors, often they dominate city councils, and they are chiefs of police and superintendents of schools....

"Democratic-controlled cities have the poorest-quality public education despite their large, and growing, school budgets. Consider Baltimore. In 2016, in 13 of Baltimore's 39 high schools, not a single student scored proficient on the state's math exam. In six other high schools, only 1% tested proficient in math. Only 15% of Baltimore students passed the state's English test. That same year in Philadelphia, only 19% of eighth-graders scored proficient in math, and 16% were proficient in reading. In Detroit, only 4% of its eighth-graders scored proficient in math, and 7% were proficient in reading. It's the same story of academic disaster in other cities run by Democrats.

"Violent crime and poor education is not the only problem for Democratic-controlled cities. Because of high crime, poor schools and a less pleasant environment, cities are losing their economic base and their most productive people in droves....

"Academic liberals, civil rights advocates and others blamed the exodus on racism — 'white flight' to the suburbs to avoid blacks. But blacks have been fleeing some cities at higher rates than whites. The five cities whose suburbs have the fastest-growing black populations are Miami, Dallas, Washington, Houston and Atlanta. It turns out that blacks, like whites, want better and safer schools for their kids and don't like to be mugged or have their property vandalized. And like white people, if they have the means, black people cannot wait to leave troubled cities.

"White liberals and black politicians focus most of their attention on what the police do, but how relevant is that to the overall tragedy? According to Statista, this year, 172 whites and 88 blacks [nationwide] have died at the hands of police. To put police shootings in a bit of perspective, in Chicago alone in 2020 there have been 1,260 shootings and 256 homicides with blacks being the primary victims. That comes to one shooting victim every three hours and one homicide victim every 15 hours. Three people in Chicago have been killed by police. If one is truly concerned about black deaths, shootings by police should figure way down on one's list — which is not to excuse bad behavior by some police officers."

Now for a few words about the criminal looters, arsonists, and murderers — and the good people — of today: 

1. Yes, of course black lives matter. But 99.9 percent of the blacks killed violently in this country are killed by other blacks. Very few are killed by the police. Let’s see the college boys and sexy upper-class white girls in their shorts demonstrate against the Crips and the Bloods. Let’s see the absolute idiot commentators on the news shows lambaste the gang-bangers. Of course they don’t because they’re chickens–t. They only march against people they know won’t harm them. 
2. If black lives matter, let’s shut down the abortion mills, where the great plurality of human beings killed are black babies. Of course no one does that, because the abortionists and the Democrat party and the judges are all in bed with each other. No one hates black life more than the Democrat leadership, in my humble opinion, if we are to judge honestly by the numbers. Why isn’t anyone protesting against them and their abortuary pals? 
3. Isn’t it interesting that the first stores the looters went after were super-high-end clothing and jewelry stores, shops far too expensive for me or my wife to go to, except for presents for close friends? Aren’t the looters supposed to be with the working class? Why didn’t they loot JCPenney or stores that sold work boots? Of course they want to look rich. They aspire to do that by stealing. 
4. Have you noticed that the overwhelming mass of the looters shown on TV are black? The overwhelming mass of the protesters against “racial injustice” are white prosperous-looking young people. Who is missing? Asians. They don’t loot. They don’t riot. They study and they work. And they get ahead, and they live in nice houses and buy at the stores the looters steal from. Why is that? Could there be some Asian mystery gene that does that? If so, when the Asians take over here, as my late pal Bob Bartley told me, they will not show the kindness to looters and killers of other races that we guilty, stupid whites do. They will crack down like Lee Kuan Yew and like the South Koreans. 
5. My favorite TV commentator is Tucker Carlson. He’s a genius. But even he got it wrong recently when he, a brilliant man, talked about “the system” trying to hoodwink the people by stirring up race hatred. That way, said Tucker, “the people” won’t notice how much the bosses are stealing from them. He’s partly right. The top bosses of public companies are wildly overpaid by us pitiful small stockholders. But that’s a tiny sum in the context of this economy. And who is stirring up race hatred? Not the bosses. The media commentators, Tucker. I have never seen or heard of a CEO stirring up race hatred. It’s the media that’s in the race hatred derby. 
6. There is nothing systemically wrong with the USA. Not racial injustice. That was gone long ago. Not class warfare. That’s ancient history. This is a super great country. It’s good to anyone who is willing to acquire human capital in the form of education as lawyer, doctor, plumber, or electrician. If there is a problem, it’s the looters, murderers, and arsonists, and their pals in the media. 

This is a great, great country, and if the media tells you different, they are lying. And the cops, 99 percent of them, are great people. Let’s thank them — not kick them for protecting us. 

I’m not kneeling for the flag…

Over at Hot Air, found and article about Alejandro Villanueva, the Pittsburg Steeler who made news three years ago for refusing to kneel with teammates in their protest. Villanueva is a graduate of West Point and served in the Army Rangers, his pedigree completely explains his values and choices. Under social and team pressure the Ranger did apologize for appearing to stand apart from the rest of the team.

In that article there was a strange reference to another player, Stephon Tuitt.

We now have another member of the Steelers, defensive lineman Stephon Tuitt, refusing to join the sheep that is now the NFL. The Hot Air article said...

Have never been a big fan of Stephon Tuitt, since he reneged on his commitment to play football at Georgia Tech. That said, I do respect him for recognizing the work and difficulty undertaken by his family, and proudly standing by their side. The spelling and punctuation are Stephon's.

Connecticut: Where Ridicule is a Crime

In northeast Connecticut, two students are charged with ridiculing African Americans by using the N-word as part of a game. The game was recorded and posted on the internet, causing righteously angry responses.  A local news report can be seen within the following link.
The students were not directing the comments at any particular person, in fact were walking in an empty parking lot. The students have been arrested and face a courts hearing based on an old Connecticut law that says.

Section 53-37

Ridicule on account of creed, religion, color, denomination, nationality or race.

Any person who, by his advertisement, ridicules or holds up to contempt any person or class of persons, on account of the creed, religion, color, denomination, nationality or race of such person or class of persons, shall be guilty of a class D misdemeanor.

This law is in conflict with the 1st Amendment of the Constitution is a giant way. Almost surely, the state will argue that the two dopes were creating an imminent threat. The hearing has already been pushed back once, to 13-November.

By the way, the full effect of the potential punishment is under $100.

Rocket Scientist

I've known one real rocket scientist in my life, he is passed on now, but would have probably enjoyed a laugh over this while drinking a tall German beer.
The previous post led me to a new article that describes how Trayvon Martin's parents were presented with an honorary degree, a bachelor's degree in aeronautical science, by Florida Memorial University.

I am a engineer with a bachelor's degree, and have been working hard for a long career at my craft. Engineering schools are very hard on their students I've known, aeronautical course work is rigorous. The presumption based on Trayvon's love for airplanes could be extrapolated to a degree in aeronautics causes me to doubt the intelligence of the school officials making the award.

By awarding an honorary degree to the family of a deceased young man that attacked a man while under the influence, Florida Memorial University belittles the value of the degrees earned be actual students.

I do, while saying that, understand that this is a gesture of condolence to the family.

McDonough Cake Wars

A story active in local news, (3) workers at a McDonough, Georgia Walmart refused to decorate a cake for a retiring policeman. They claimed that the proposed concept which was to include a black background with white lettering and a blue stripe was something they could not in good conscience, produce.
The daughter of the retiring policeman said...

“The baker told me the blue line cake was racist” 

When Walmart's management heard of the refusal, they tried to make it right, but apparently did not make the bakers do the job because the end result was pretty sorry looking.
I agree with Todd Starnes, the employees who refused to decorate the cake should be fired. Yes they have the right to assert themselves, they should also be vulnerable to the repercussions of doing so while being paid to perform the advertised personal service.
How in the world did so many people develop this skill of turning innocent gestures into personal injuries?

Thinking about it though, I don't think the behavior is intended to offend, folks just act differently in public.

Being against abortion is racist.
This Congresswoman, has confused her issues, normally the race card is applied when Caucasians, Republican Caucasians, dare to discuss civil rights issues.
About 40% of aborted fetuses in the United States would have been black babies, by the current Census 12.2% of the population is black.  While I am sure that a white man cannot understand what it means to be a black woman, the lack of proper pigmentation is not cause for exclusion from the selection of a better path. It is statistically significant that black abortions out pace the rest of the population by more than 300%. There is no emotion about it, number do not lie. The reasons and politically correct excuses for why this is happening are well documented.
If you want to have the argument on the worthiness of abortion, that is another discussion, just don't try to exclude on topic when you have picked the wrong parameters.
Furthermore, the Congresswoman should look at the history of legal abortion in America.  Margaret Sanger, American birth control activist, and mother of what became Planned Parenthood, was well known to have promoted abortion as a means of regulating the populations of peoples she did not deem acceptable. To quote....

Birth control must lead ultimately to a cleaner race.

Butt Hurt

This seemed an amusing picture considering some of my recent travails.

What seems pretty obvious to me is the Black Lives Matter is more about attaining an upper hand that gives licence to acts of anarchy. There is nothing constructive here, only destructive.  I am aware of similar acts at other colleges that have not made major news, the timing is too synchronized to be what should be random acts of bigotry played out. Like everything, there may be some truth in the foundation, but acting out and making false claims is dishonest, arguably felonious.
If you are comfortable with being judged as dishonest, keep it up, I already think you are a bunch of spoiled brats. We can only judge you based on your behavior.

I guess the policemen of New York have had about enough their acknowledged communist supporting Mayor's mouth.  Following the death of the entrepreneurial Garner, the Mayor has done everything he could to show his support for the people demonstrating against the police force he is in command of.
This is a statement policemen are circulating, apparently in defiance of of a politician that refuses to acknowledge reality.

The communist comment is for real, In the eighties Mayor de Blasio opening supported the Sandinista government in Nicaragua.
That the citizens of the Big Apple even elected this man is a marvel of stupidity, as if Bloomberg wasn't bad enough.  These same citizens that spit on Republicans when they attempt to express their viewpoints in the open public. We've all seen it on the news, they think it is cool. If it really happens, it will be terrible because that would mean another policemen has died, but if it happens and the Mayor is excluded, GOOD he's an asshole.
