I Got Rent For The Night

Just like Eddie Murphy in the movie "48 Hours".
Today I receive an email from the White House that links an application that allows users to see how many tanks of gas or months rent can be paid for with the proceeds of proposed increase in the minimum wage. What ever the value, the Democrats are trying to create an issue that will divert attention away from the shitty leadership of the President and the Senate Majority Leader.  I hope it does not succeed but recent history says otherwise.
The depth of explanation on the maps is pretty low, for instance is the raise alone enough to purchase 15 tanks of gas or 7 month rent, or is the full take home pay enough to cover those expenditures.
What I will say about all of it is that they are trying to make it look like the Democrats are going to force employers to give workers more money for the same work which amounts to more free stuff.  This would be a good deal for the minimum wage type employees because the free money is not encumbered by the restrictions of say, an EBT card, the net money can be converted immediately into things like lottery tickets, cold beer and malt liquor.
I was surprised that the state of Georgia has a minimum wage lower than the national rate.
Like the Affordable Care Act, unintended consequences of an unprecedented rate increase will be significant, there will be less jobs available.
