Does not give a damn what the public wants.....
Congress.org presents the MEGAVOTE for September 14, 2015 and Georgia's 13th district.Recent Congressional Votes:
- Senate: Iran Nuclear Agreement Disapproval Resolution 'Shell' - Cloture
- House: Iran Nuclear Agreement Approval – Passage
- House: Delay Iran Nuclear Sanctions Relief -- Passage
- Senate: Hire More Heroes Act of 2015
- House: Defund Planned Parenthood Act of 2015
Recent Senate Votes:
Iran Nuclear Agreement Disapproval Resolution 'Shell' - Cloture Vote Rejected (58-42)The Senate rejected a motion to invoke cloture on the McConnell, R-Ky., substitute amendment no. 2640, that would replace the measure with a joint resolution that would disapprove of the nuclear agreement reached with Iran by the United States and five other nations that was transmitted by the president to Congress on July 19, 2015, for purposes of prohibiting any waiver or suspension of statutory sanctions by the United States pursuant to the agreement.
Sen. Johnny Isakson voted YES
Sen. David Perdue voted YES
This smells like a resolution vote designed to give Senators coverage during the next election. Too bad dudes because as far as I am concerned, you should be physically filibustering this to kill the agreement or anything that revolves around it. Have already decided that I will vote for whoever runs against you in the next primary. You are both dead to me.
Recent House Votes:
Iran Nuclear Agreement Approval – Passage Vote Failed (162-269, 1 Present, 1 Not Voting)The House rejected a bill that would express Congress' approval of the Iran nuclear agreement signed on July 14, 2015 between United States, Iran and five other nations.
Rep. David Scott voted NO
More of the same, coverage votes for pussies who won't take credit for abetting the enemy, which they have done. At least David Scott stands with is party and while he represents little that I believe in, this agreement is just the sort of thing he does believe in.
Delay Iran Nuclear Sanctions Relief -- Passage Vote Passed (247-186)
The House passed a bill that would delay until Jan. 21, 2017, the authority of the president to waive, suspend, or reduce existing sanctions on Iran or on Iranian officials or individuals slated to be granted relief from sanctions under the Iran nuclear agreement.
Rep. David Scott voted NO
The whole process is a freaking waste of time, Congress would upset the apple cart if they had any conviction. Truth is they want this thing, despite what the voting public has made clear they want. A clear example of the disconnect between government and he governed.
Upcoming Votes:
Hire More Heroes Act of 2015 - H.J.Res.61The legislation is the expected vehicle for a joint resolution that would disprove of the Iran nuclear agreement. The resolution would amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to exempt employees with health coverage under TRICARE or the Veterans Administration from being taken into account for purposes of determining the employers to which the employer mandate applies under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
Slam dunk stuff, allows congressmen to be visibly for the veteran, all the while knowingly screwing them over on the finances. How's that investigation of the VA going. Chickenshit bastards.
Defund Planned Parenthood Act of 2015 - H.R.3134
The bill would provide for a moratorium on federal funding to Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Inc.
This might pass the house, but won't see they light of day in the Senate, McConnell is new Harry Reid. The Senate majority leader has already said this has no chance. Wonder how the folks in Kentucky feel about re-electing him now.
