Recalling a previous post, the case concerning the death of Adam Walsh was closed today in Hollywood Florida. The closing of the case was the last stage in a failed investigation. Adam's father, John Walsh, molded his torment over the unsolved case into the constructive television show "America's Most Wanted". Many families have been helped by this man's activism against child abuse.
John Walsh said on earlier today at a news conference...
"Who could take a 6-year-old and murder and decapitate him? Who? We needed to know. We needed to know. And today we know. The not knowing has been a torture, but that journey's over."The serial killer Ottis Toole, died in prison in 1996, of liver cirrhosis. Toole had confessed to the murder by decapitation but recanted. Errors in the investigation failed to prove guilt.
Very sad.
