As a young boy, under 10, I remember talking to older teenagers and thinking that everybody was held back a year or two before they went to college. Later as a teenager I thought that most adult men got arrested as some point for speeding or drunken debauchery. Now as dullard engineer, I've managed to get through grade school, college and 30 years working for the same firm, was never held back or arrested.
Now it seems that the jail thing is coming true, these dumb bastard (literally) boys ignored in school should be held back but aren't, progress into adulthood ill prepared for responsibility, contrarily prepared for violence by means of incredibly perverted PlayStation games.
