Gaseous Denial

If any thoughts spring to mind, I'll let you know.  My main thought for the entry is that the Democrats are stupid on energy, everybody sees it and the only people comfortable with the policies are the environmentals.

Congress.org presents: MEGAVOTE June 30, 2014, for Georgia's 13th Congressional District.

Recent Congressional Votes
  • Senate: Workforce Training Reauthorization - Passage
  • House: CFTC Reauthorization - Passage
  • House: Trans-National Pipelines - Passage
  • House: Liquefied Natural Gas Exports - Passage
  • House: Oil and Gas Exploration - Passage
Both chambers are in recess until the week of July 7.
Reading this a little bit late, they are already back in session. To bad...
Recent Senate Votes:
Workforce Training Re-authorization, Vote Passed (95-3, 2 Not Voting)
The Senate passed a bill that would overhaul and reauthorize workforce training programs and make changes in the makeup of advisory boards. It also would set out specific authorized appropriations, which would increase annually, for each program through fiscal 2020.
Sen. Saxby Chambliss voted YES
Sen. Johnny Isakson voted YES
We care, just in time for the next election, with the money of working taxpayers.
Recent House Votes:
CFTC Re-authorization, Vote Passed (265-144, 22 Not Voting)
The House passed a bill that would reauthorize the Commodity Futures Trading Commission through 2018 and would largely exempt end users or non-financial companies that use derivatives to hedge risks from tough rules on derivatives under the 2010 financial regulatory overhaul known as Dodd-Frank.
Rep. David Scott voted YES
I do not trust a thing related to either Dodd-Frank or voted for by David Scott.
Trans-National Pipelines, Vote Passed (238-173, 20 Not Voting)
The House passed a bill that would require future oil and gas pipeline projects and power lines that cross international borders to be reviewed by the State or Energy secretary within 120 days of the environmental review, unless the agency finds the project is not in the public interest of the United States. It would eliminate the current system created by executive orders under which a presidential permit must be issued.
Rep. David Scott voted NO
Apparently out representative wants to protect the President's obstructive catering to the environmental sect. It is sort of like being a bodyguard for Michael Jackson, some innocent person is going to fucked, in this case lots of innocent people.
Liquefied Natural Gas Exports, Vote Passed (266-150, 16 Not Voting)
The House passed a bill that would require the Energy Department to expedite decisions on applications to export liquefied natural gas. It would require that all applications publicly disclose the specific nation or nations that would receive the proposed export of liquefied natural gas.
Rep. David Scott voted NO
The President is wrong to obstruct gas exportation.  In this he is abetting Russia's pressure on Europe and notably Ukraine. David Scott for all his liberal posturing is supporting war in Europe.
Oil and Gas Exploration, Vote Passed (229-185, 18 Not Voting)
The House passed a bill that would establish a five-year program for oil and gas leasing. The bill would double the cap for offshore oil and gas revenue sharing to $1 billion and require at least 25 percent of eligible federal land be made available each year to lease for oil and gas exploration.
Rep. David Scott voted NO
I just don't understand the actions of my congressman, nor the position of the Democrats as a whole on this subject. Economics drives energy exploration and distribution, all of their actions just make the resources cast more. The result is inevitable.
