I am arriving at the conclusion that Saxby Chambliss is pretty much of a business first right and wrong second type of Senator.  A sneaky man more interested in being a power player than representing what is best for citizens.  Ethanol subsidies are good for farmers while inefficiently reducing petroleum usage.  There is some evidence that the unrest in northern Africa is due to excessive food price inflation, that is a result of increased demand for a food products, created by our government.  Personally I do not care for ethanol additives, all of the two cycle engines in may garage are f - - ked up because of the deposits the develop.

• Panetta will be confirmed, slam dunk, Congress likes him.  He has the personality of an ineffectual boob.
• Presidential Appointment Efficiency and Streamlining Act of 2011 - S.679,  a bill to reduce the number of executive branch appointments that require Senate confirmation ???  Has the President already addressed that issue with multitude of Czar appointments and recess appointments.   Sorry I want the President to have less power, not more.  Bad idea.

Normally, Mike Luckovich has well drawn cartoons that irritate the hell out of me.  My favorite was the one he gave us when Lewis Grizzard died.  This is not up to that, but about sums up my feelings about Weiner-gate.  The duplicity of politicians is a source of constant amusement, I think there are plenty of pigs on both sides, and in personal mis-deeds the only difference is how hard the judgement hits.  Democrats are inclined to delay judgment when it comes to their own people, and cry for the hammer when it comes to the Republicans.  The press just plays the fool and parrots the politicians of their preference.
If this politician had sent such a message to one of my children, he would have to go into hiding because I would apply punishment directly.

Received this email last week. Alabama passed their own house bill HB56, restricting access to lawful employment and social benefits. In this email MOAB is asking respondents to access an on-line site where they can sign a petition asking President Obama to "step up for illegal immigrants".

More accurately the petition should be asking respondents to encourage the President to ignore both Federal and States laws so as to allow ILLEGAL ALIENS to remain residence, work in avoidance of Federal income tax laws, and collect social benefits paid for by law abiding citizens.
I understand zenophobia, and accept that I may fit that characterization. If only the ILLEGAL ALIENS and PANDERING POLITICIANS would accept the characterization that they support lawlessness and theft. 
At least I am honest about what I want.
