MegaVote: GA 13th, 7/5/2011

So the Senators voted on the appointment streamlining act, it passed by a margin of 60%.  This is a bill that gives the President more power, furthering his desire to ram progressive policies down our throats with little to no resistance from balancing branches of government.  Weren't the czars enough extra-executive license?  Let's see, if a Federal law doesn't comport with his philosophy, he instructs the ruling department to ignore it, if a state erects legislation that is contrary he has DOJ fight it in Federal court, if Congress asserts subpoenas for information he ignores it.  Senators want to to give this man more discretion, what are they, fucking idiots?  To their credit, both of our Georgia Senators voted against.  I will be very surprised if this passes the House.
Petraeus earned the right to be a slam dunk. The problem with this musical chairs thing is Paneta moving to DOD, the Congress likes him, so he an easy installation, but he is an agent of destruction to every department he touches.  Like the 90's, if Obama gets re-elected, there will be an exodus from the military.
Why the Senate is going to debate a resolution authorize limited use of the U.S. military in Libya is beyond me, the President has already made clear that he is going to ignore Congressional legislation on this one.  The resolution will likely be a rubber stamp approval. The Republican Senators should abstain en-masse.
