Recent House Votes: Debt limit disapproval
Vote Passed (239-176, 2 Present, 16 Not Voting)
The House voted to block a $1.2 trillion increase in the $15.2 trillion debt ceiling. With the Senate unlikely to approve a similar measure, the increase will automatically take effect January 27, 2012.
Rep. David Scott voted NO
Not so much activity and none by the Senate, perhaps that is a good thing. So the house votes for disapproval of raising the debt limit, and by design the Senate simply has to not act for the the limit to automatically increase. In this case David Scott had the balls to vote FOR what most every congressman intended to happen. This kind of abdication of responsibility is what gets sonofabitches voted out of office. Gutless thieves. Gutless because first they do not have the courage or strength cut spending. Gutless because they pretend to stand for something they philosophically disagree with.
Now what are we left with in the Presidential race?
A standing President who says all people are equal, yet plays the class warfare program endlessly. Tonight will no doubt add to his demands for more spending while he repeats the same bullshit jobs creation rubbish.
A former Speaker from Georgia, that believes in global warming, progressive taxation, and governance by policy adjustment (rather than Constitutional foundation). He did show his ability to constrict a budget.
A former governor from Massachusetts, who installed the model for universal health care, is a social progressive that smells like Bush 45. If the mild one wins the nomination, we are looking at a repeat of the McCain debacle.
A former senator from Pennsylvania, who while a believable strong social conservative is another fiscal meanderer.
A nut from Texas, who with the true Liberian model, sounds like a total fool when it comes to anything outside of fiscal theory, especially foreign policy.
