Normally I think of Joe Scarborough as a puppet of the MSNBC leadership, and by that pawn in White House strategic planning. This conversation, disagreement, with Chuck Todd strikes at the heart of some typical liberal attitudes toward criticism. It is the reporter's position is that to be critical of the parents is off bounds. I am in agreement with Mr. Scarborough on this one, it is normal to have empathy for the parents of a child at risk, it is not acceptable to use that as a shield for deflecting all criticism.
We see this over and over.
