MegaVote: GA 13th, 5/31/2011

Representative Scott voted in a manner that was just fine in the last week.  The Patriot act vote pleases me in the sense that even liberals fools have to accept the designs set forth by the Bush administration.  The vote must have felt like a big fat bitter pill.  As for the President' immediate signature, we all remember how ofter an vociferously he and his party ripped the Patriot Act, now wearing the other shoe, pragmatism has taken root, even in such an infertile mind of our POTUS.
I really enjoyed is the complete rejection of the President's budget resolution, the vote went 0-97. Repudiation of slapped together resolution that was a delicate balance between vacant and stupid. What do you expect from a community organizer that never created his own legislation until he was President?

The Senate passed this bill extending certain provisions of the Patriot Act until June 1, 2015.  The bill, S. 990, originally reauthorized some small business programs but with the Patriot Act provisions due to expire at the end of the day, the Senate used it as the vehicle to pass the extension.  The House passed the bill a few hours later and President Obama signed it into law before the end of the day.
