Most Voters Prefer A Candidate Who Lays Off The Pork

I know that this is the way that I feel, even it is a form of self denial.
Rasmussen says....

Many members of Congress pride themselves on their ability to bring home pork barrel spending, but with the mood of the voters in 2010, that may not be such a good idea. By a 2-to-1 margin, voters prefer a candidate who will cut spending rather than one who will make sure the district gets its fair share of federal money.

An underlying problem with this issue is that the real reason congressmen bring home to pork is to satisfy the cash contributing business persons of their community. The people that profit from the pork the most are the ones with special connections to the congressmen. So what the majority of voters may feel doesn't really matter to the politician, it only matters how happy his donors are. This will not end, it is how money and votes are gotten.
