Goodday
I guess that Senators everywhere feel compelled to give money to undeserving people. And not unlike here in the United States, extend benefits to people who are not even citizens. Maybe it is part of the universal Senator training program.

Infinite Loathing
I was poking around GOPUSA and found Thomas Sowell’s web site.
http://www.tsowell.com/
In that he lists his favorite quotes, many of which I enjoyed very much. There are half a dozen or so attributed to Eric Hoffer, my favorite of which is.
The “educated” people are, in my mind, what Rasmussen would call the political class. Recently there have been many polls that show has out of whack the aforementioned is with the general voting sentiment.
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/general_politics/december_2011/60_still_see_government_as_the_problem_political_class_disagrees
Doing a little research, have found a biography at Wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Hoffer
Hoffer passed in 1983, long before I developed any political interest. Born in the Bronx just after the start of the 20th century to German American parents, by age fie he was bilingual. He lost his sight at the age of seven and regained same at the age of fifteen, both inexplicable events. The losses of both parents led to move to Los Angeles where as a young man he struggled with depression and lack of work. Eventually settled in as a migrant worker and during the off seasons studied and developed his writing ability.
Later, writing as a sideline to his new career as a longshoreman Hoffer began to develop a persona as a working class philosopher. In this he expresses contempt for fanaticism and the political class.
Sound like a man I would have enjoyed talking too.

Nowhere at present is there such a measureless loathing of their country by educated people as in America. For the title I've replaced measureless with infinite.

Goverment Phones
Earlier today I received an email from a family member. An angry claim that welfare recipients were bragging about their free "Obama Cell Phone.
This is the text of the email...
It is real.
https://www.safelinkwireless.com/Safelink/home
The main page proclaims
From there I decided to check it out on Snopes, see following link.
http://www.snopes.com/politics/taxes/cellphone.asp
Here they say that the program is for real, and started in Tennessee in 2008, before President Obama took office. So this gifts from tax payer contributions are not fairly attributed. This is simply another way that the government behemoth spreads wealth.
People are quick to blame our current President for such programs because it fits his anti-business, anti-taxpayer modus operendi. That it was installed during the Bush administration should alert readers that these kind of programs are continuously being germinated an a government built to expand, never to contract.
At the moment more people are coming to the conclusion that government needs to contract, both in head-count and expenditure. Yet in the Congressional and Executive politicians that dare not go farther than right of center, are continually struggling with trying to pay for an inertial appetite.
Time to starve the patient.
This is the text of the email...
The Obama Phone - NO JOKE This is unbelievable !!The email included a link that I was reluctant to visit, but sure enough.
Just when you think you've heard it all, our illustrious Congress quietly comes up with a new zinger to put their hands in your pockets, and pick them while you aren't watching. Isn't this just wonderful ?
I was standing in line at the checkout counter at Wal Mart and as I looked at the line behind me, I saw a couple of people talking about what looked like identical new cell phones, bragging about the fact that their phones were free and so was the airtime.
The woman in line behind me had heard the same exchange and turned to the young man behind her and asked, 'Is that a new type of cell phone?' The young man replied, 'Yes, this is my new Obama phone. She asked him what an Obama phone was, and he went on to say that, 'Welfare recipients are now eligible to receive what he described as (1) a FREE new cell phone, and (2) approximately 250 FREE minutes of air time every month.'
Needless to say, I was a little skeptical about his answer, so when I got back home, I Googled it, and lo and behold, he was telling the truth. This was what I discovered:
SafeLink Wireless is a government supported program that provides a free cell phone and airtime each month for income-eligible customers. In other words, your tax dollars are being distributed to a wireless phone provider to provide welfare recipients with free cell phones and airtime. I don't know about you, but as for me, enough is enough. We are $14 Trillion in debt, Congress is balking at continuing unemployment payments to those who want to work, and Congress is increasing the dole-out to dead beats.
The ship of State is sinking, and it's sinking fast. The old concept of getting ahead through hard work has flown out the window. It has been replaced by Obama's and Congress' idea of Hope and Change. The country has changed all right, changed to "Why should I work for it, when I can get it for free?"
You can click on the link below to confirm for yourself that the Obama Phone is real. Just have a barf bag ready.
It is real.
https://www.safelinkwireless.com/Safelink/home
The main page proclaims
"The Free Cell Phone & Minutes Program"and
"You may qualify if you participate in programs such as Food Stamps or Medicaid."From there you can enter a zip code and apply, there are even promotional codes.
From there I decided to check it out on Snopes, see following link.

As Long As
there are folks that believe this attitude about wealth is correct, MoveOn will have an audience. Basically the progressive web site suggests that because this woman has 21b$ she should be able to live on less so others don't have to be eligible food stamps. Of course the author speaks in general terms, no indicating that many employees work at WalMart part time by choice, many retired, many with other primary careers.
WalMart is successful because of superior pricing, a benefit to the very class of customers MoveOn seeks to organize, and by superior logistics i.e. industrial systems engineering (in which I have a degree).
At what point will progressives realize that businesses succeed because of intelligently constructed and executed business plans. Businesses do have the interests of their employees held foremost. First by workplace safety, then by business viability without which there would be less employment to offer.
Pay is simply the convergence of skills required, demand for that skill, the consumer side a demand for the product offered and on the economy side wealth to buy the product.
When the government interferes with the process, by the inefficiency of delivery systems, less money is available to the consumer. Subsequently there is less demand for products, and finally less product requirement which creates the need for manufacturing, logistics and sales jobs.
Check it out....

Attack the rich, its a safe way to buy votes and then by inaction perpetuate the process.

Good for You
Good for Virginia's 2nd District, to have a man representing them that steps forward and contradicts misplaced authority with well spoken words from the heart. I wish I has a representative like Scott Rigell .
But instead we're stuck with the embarrassing new world disciple, little David Scott.

Recent Senate Votes:
Balanced Budget Amendment
http://capwiz.com/congressorg/issues/votes/?votenum=228&chamber=S&congress=1121
Vote Rejected (21-79)
The Senate rejected the Democratic balanced-budget amendment that would have taken Social Security off the books and prohibited Congress from cutting taxes for millionaires if the cut increased the deficit. A two-thirds majority is needed in both chambers to send constitutional amendments to the states for ratification. A bill that prohibits Congress from cuttting taxes on their most important constituents. Talk about a non-starter. David Scott would have voted for it.
Sen. Saxby Chambliss voted NO
Sen. Johnny Isakson voted NO
Balanced Budget Amendment
http://capwiz.com/congressorg/issues/votes/?votenum=229&chamber=S&congress=1121
Vote Rejected (47-53)
The Senate rejected the Republican balanced-budget amendment proposal that would have required a two-thirds majority in both chambers to increase taxes and limited federal spending to 18 percent of the countrys economic output. The August debt limit law required both chambers to consider balanced-budget amendments before the end of the year. Seeing that Federal expenditures are currently running about 25% of GDP, a bill like this would force the Congressmen to be even more dishonest than usual. Not a reasonalble level, no matter how much I would have like to see it pass.
Sen. Saxby Chambliss voted YES
Sen. Johnny Isakson voted YES
Defense Authorization, FY2012
http://capwiz.com/congressorg/issues/votes/?votenum=230&chamber=S&congress=1121
Vote Agreed to (86-13, 1 Not Voting)
The Senate cleared this $662 billion measure for the president that authorizes defense policies for the current fiscal year. The House passed the bill the previous day. Not voting, I though BO was in the White House, not sill in the Senate?
Sen. Saxby Chambliss voted YES
Sen. Johnny Isakson voted YES
Reid-McConnell Amdt.; Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2011
http://capwiz.com/congressorg/issues/votes/?votenum=232&chamber=S&congress=1121
Vote Agreed to (89-10, 1 Not Voting)
The Senate approved this amendment to H.R.3630 that replaces the House bill with the Senates compromise bill. The amended bill would extend by 2 months the Social Security payroll tax cut and benefits for the long-term unemployed. The deal also includes a provision directing the White House to expedite the decision on the construction of the Keystone XL oil pipeline. The bill subsequently passed by unanimous consent. It is unclear as of press time if the House will pass the Senate bill. A b-s kick the can down the road move. The lower house has already rejected, vote the damned thing up or down in a permanent way. Losers. Not to proud of the home boys here.
Sen. Saxby Chambliss voted YES
Sen. Johnny Isakson voted YES
Disaster Relief Appropriations Act, 2012
http://capwiz.com/congressorg/issues/votes/?votenum=233&chamber=S&congress=1121
Vote Passed (72-27, 1 Not Voting)
The Senate cleared this bill to provide $8.6 billion in disaster relief and to combat Social Security fraud, sending it to the president for his signature. The House passed this bill the previous day. Typical, spend billions to attack a problem you don't want or have the heart to solve.
Sen. Saxby Chambliss voted NO
Sen. Johnny Isakson voted NO
Military Construction-VA Appropriations, FY2012
http://capwiz.com/congressorg/issues/votes/?votenum=235&chamber=S&congress=1121
Vote Agreed to (67-32, 1 Not Voting)
The Senate gave final approval to the conference report for this $915 billion "megabus" spending bill that provides funds for the rest of the fiscal year for the remaining nine annual appropriations bills. The nine bills are the Military Construction-VA, Defense, Energy-Water, Financial Services, Homeland Security, Interior-Environment, Labor-HHS-Education, Legislative Branch and State-Foreign Operations appropriations bills. The House passed the bill the previous day. The president is expected to sign the bill. Spend whatever it takes to care for those who risk their lives for us.
Sen. Saxby Chambliss voted YES
Sen. Johnny Isakson voted YES
Recent House Votes:
Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2011
http://capwiz.com/congressorg/issues/votes/?votenum=923&chamber=H&congress=1121
Vote Passed (234-193, 6 Not Voting)
The House passed this Republican version of the payroll tax extension bill. The bill would extend the Social Security payroll tax cut for one year, prevent Medicare payments to doctors from being cut more than 27 percent, and overhaul the unemployment benefits program. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) called the bill "dead on arrival" in the Senate. Harry Reid is such a f-g jerk. He calls it out as DOA and then after the House rejects his conterproposal, blames the Tea Party Republicans for lack of cooperation. The two month extention is b-s, kill it or give it more than two breaths of life. Just make up your freaking mind Reid, the Republicans actually want to extend a longer lifetime on a benefit, jump on the damned bus.
Rep. David Scott voted NO idiot

69% Say Photo ID Voting Laws Are Not Discriminatory
The other 31% have never cashed a check in their life.
Is it a Steve Earle song that goes?
Except in this case the the b-s goes on forever and the benefits never end.
Leave it to the Democrats to defend the voting rights of illegal immigrants and dead people.
More than two thirds of the voting population have no objection to the approved legislation, yet the Executive branch of our government, followed by race baiting Democratic Congressmen, followed by an adoring media will spend a good portion of this campaign cycle raising frivolous lawsuits and wasting my good news viewing time. It's all dishonest crap, designed to keep the minority and liberal elite votes locked up.

Election 2012: New Hampshire Republican Primary
Not sure why the New Hampshire primary is given primacy by the Republican establishment. The only reason that I can deduce is that it is first on the calender. Looking at the rest of the early primaries, spread around the country, Newt has significant leads.
In four of the last five presidential elections, New Hampshire has gone for the Democratic option. To heck with them, the New Hampshire primary, by the calender structure, gives moderate and liberal candidates in the advantage over the conservative.
This is how we end up with impotent, liberal hugging, Republican candidates like McCain, Bush 43, Bush 42, and Bob Dole. Currently Mitt has the upper hand over Newt in New Hampshire, hardly a surprise, see Rasmussen's latest poll.
Election 2012: New Hampshire Republican Primary - Rasmussen Reports™
We have a system that allows northern liberal voters to set the tone of the campaign, while the strength of the Republican party, residing in the south and non-urban regions, has suck hind teat.
Did find this informative page on the Internet that shows how New Hampshire has voted to the elected POTUS 8 of the last 10 cycles. To me, this does not matter, the state has only 4 electoral votes, and while they may end up making the right choice, their weight is too small to be used as the compass for following primaries.

Between Guts and Balls
This is something sent by a friend..
There is a medical distinction between Guts and Balls. We've all heard about people having Guts or Balls. But do you really know the difference between them?
In an effort to keep you informed, here are the definitions:
GUTS - Is arriving home late after a night out with the guys, being met by your wife with a broom, and having the Guts to ask: 'Are you still cleaning, or are you flying somewhere?'
BALLS - Is coming home late after a night out with the guys, smelling of perfume and beer, lipstick on your collar, slapping your wife on the butt and having the Balls to say: 'You're next, Chubby.'
I hope this clears up any confusion on the definitions.
Medically, speaking there is No difference in the outcome.
Both result in death.

Could it be that the Senate is finally seeing the Dodd-Frank legislation as means of stretching original intent of Freddie and Fannie to permanently entrench each as a fixture of income redistribution? I doubt it, the Senators just know that they cannot go into the next election with the stink of this on their breath. What did Sam Kinnison say about getting into heaven?
Motion to Proceed; Middle Class Tax Cut Act of 2011
http://capwiz.com/congressorg/issues/votes/?votenum=224&chamber=S&congress=1121
Vote Rejected (50-48, 2 Not Voting)
The Senate rejected a motion to move forward on this Democratic proposal to reduce the employee share of the payroll tax from 4.2 to 3.1 percent for 2012. The employer share would stay at 6.2 percent. The payroll tax funds the Social Security trust fund. A law passed in December 2010 is set to expire at the end of 2011 that reduced the employee share from 6.2 to 4.2 percent.
Sen. Saxby Chambliss voted NOSen. Johnny Isakson voted NO
The Democrat's proposal is an overt ploy aimed at showing they are the party that cares for the worker. If the tax level can be reduced fine, but we all know that it cannot. Wasn't there a time when employers and employees contributed the same amount to this fund?

Vote Rejected (22-76, 2 Not Voting)
The Senate rejected a motion to move forward on this Republican proposal to freeze the employee share of the payroll tax at 4.2 percent. The proposal offsets the cost by freezing federal pay and reducing the federal workforce by attrition.
Sen. Saxby Chambliss voted NOSen. Johnny Isakson voted NO
Apparently an idea that not to many of the stogy old men liked very much.
While we're talking about the Senate, can anybody believe that Corzine was a member of this group. For that reason he gets to have the title of "Honored" on his name placard? From watching his recent testimony, I have little doubt that he would not find his way home to New Jersey if he didn't have a driver to take him there.
Recent House Votes:
Regulations From the Executive in Need of Scrutiny (REINS) Act of 2011
http://capwiz.com/congressorg/issues/votes/?votenum=901&chamber=H&congress=1121
Vote Passed (241-184, 8 Not Voting)
This bill would require congressional approval of federal regulations that are expected to cost the economy $100 million or more or have a significant effect on consumer prices. Currently, regulations take effect unless both Congress and the president approve a resolution disapproving of them. The White House opposes the bill.
Rep. David Scott voted NO
A tenth of a billion dollars is too little for Representative Scott to be bothered with. This is a fight to stem the burgeoning growth of new liberal regulations. The EPA and its ilk have gotten a little big for their britches lately.
Farm Dust Regulation Prevention Act of 2011
http://capwiz.com/congressorg/issues/votes/?votenum=912&chamber=H&congress=1121
Vote Passed (268-150, 15 Not Voting)
This House-passed bill would prevent the EPA from revising air standards concerning dust from farm operations for one year. The Senate is unlikely to take up the bill. The White House has also issued a veto threat.
Rep. David Scott voted NO
Good, leave the farmers alone you stinking Democrats!
Upcoming Votes:
Payroll tax cut extension - H.R.3630
The House is expected to take up a payroll tax bill this week.
Defense authorization - H.R.1540
Congress may wrap up work on the conference report for the 2012 fiscal year defense authorization bill.
Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Consolidated Appropriations Act, FY2012 - H.R.2055

Georgia Tech Safety Initiatives
It is awful that students have to deal with this crap. Normally you send your child off to school, you think you have taught him to be self reliant and careful in strange places. The problem is that these young adults are more friendly and less careful with strangers than fearful folks like me. This gets them in to places they wish they had never gone.
When I was in school, two young men, friends from another fraternity, were walking home, down Techwood from the Omni (it used to be a straight shot). They were stopped by a robber, made to strip, one ordered to sodomize the other. I do not know to what extent that went, but when one was behind the other, the robber put the gun to the backmost anus an pulled the trigger. Killing one, severely injuring the other.
There is no arguing with a devastating weapon.
Here we have the school that has an ever increasing student population and facility footprint adjacent to at least one impoverished neighborhood, arguable two.
These problems are not hard to believe.
Dear Georgia Tech Parent:
As the semester draws to an end, I wanted to take the opportunity to remind our parents of all that we are doing to ensure a safe campus for your sons and daughters. As a parent, I can assure you that your student’s safety and security is our top priority and we are taking great measures to keep our community as safe as possible.
Due to recent incidents on and around campus, the Georgia Tech Police Department (GTPD) initiated enhanced joint patrols with the Atlanta Police Department (APD) around our campus. In addition, the APD has tripled the number of officers in the surrounding area during the late and early morning hours. Each of these patrols includes both uniformed and plain clothes officers.
The Institute also launched a series of safety initiatives including an extensive education and communications campaign “See Something? Say Something!” intended to keep students both aware and vigilant. In addition, there has been hands-on involvement by executive leadership including police ride-a-longs by President Peterson and other administrators, as well as participation in the annual student-led safety walk which helped identify safety concerns and issues.
In response to safety concerns for our transient student population, the Institute has invested in state-of the-art technology known as Guardian, a safety feature provided free-of-charge to the campus community that transforms mobile phones into personal safety devices upon activation by the student. Participants can voluntarily opt-in and share information to expedite police response. Please visit the Guardian website for more information. The system is expected to launch in early 2012. Additional details will be forthcoming.
To address transportation concerns, the Institute implemented a new automated Stingerette (nighttime transportation van) system that enables students to make pick-up requests from their laptops or smartphones. The Institute also added a new Tech Trolley route to provide transportation from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. If a student is not able to utilize Georgia Tech transportation, he/she may call the Georgia Tech Police Dispatch for an evening police escort at 404-894-2501.
While we have seen positive results from our aggressive initiatives, we realize that any crime is one crime too many.
Ultimately, crime prevention is about people, not statistics, and we will continue to take the steps necessary to improve safety for your student. We ask parents to help us reinforce these safety precautions with their student and to remind him/her to travel with others when on campus late at night. Students are encouraged to use the Stingerette (stingerette.com or 404-385-7433) or contact GTPD (404-894-2501) to get a safe ride home. For a complete listing of campus safety initiatives, visit the Parents Program Campus Safety webpage.
GTPD depends on the entire campus community to be an active participant in maintaining a safe campus environment. The ongoing campaign, "See Something, Say Something," reminds the campus community to report any concerns to the GTPD at 404-894-2500 as quickly as possible. Together, we can create and maintain a safe campus community for everyone.
I wish you and your family a very safe and happy holiday season,
William D. Schafer, Ph.D.
Vice President for Student Affairs

7-Year-Old Accused Of Possible Sexual Harassment For Kicking Boy In Groin
Four times in my childhood, I fought back against bullies on the school bus. Three of them went down with marks, the fourth did a lot better. When I got older and much bigger, that all stopped. We taught my son, who always big, and at his grade school peak was about 6-4, 275, that he should never bully. More importantly he learned that if anybody ever lays his hands on you, do what you have to to stop it. Also, that if there is a punishment for breaking a school's code of non-violence, accept it, do the time and ignore words.
This boy, did exactly that, and should be praised for standing his ground.
Many in public education, in their own defeatist image, are doing their best to instill a pathos of self-loathing temerity.
The sexual harassment application is beyond silly and should be removed. If there is a penalty for fighting on the bus, accept that and move on.

I hope the choker's injury significant enough to serve as a reinforcement against future like events. As for my nephew who lives just below Southy, he better walk in in father's footsteps, and have to be pulled off the bully who would be found in a defensive fetal position.

An Important Day
Was one hundred years ago...
In 1911 China abolished the requirement that men wear their hair in a queue.
A queue is just a fancy word for ponytail or braid.
So, one hundred years ago the Chinese made the first move in demolishing the stereotype that its citizens are unimaginative lemmings.

Helping the Homeless
A man was walking down the street when he was accosted by a particularly dirty and shabby-looking homeless man who asked him for a couple of dollars for
dinner.
The man took out his wallet, extracted ten dollars and asked, "If I give you this money, will you buy some beer with it instead of dinner?"
"No, I had to stop drinking years ago," the homeless man replied.
"Will you use it to go fishing instead of buying food?" the man asked.
"No, I don't waste time fishing," the homeless man said. "I need to spend all my time trying to stay alive."
"Will you spend this on greens' fees at a golf course instead of food?" the man asked.
"Are you NUTS!" replied the homeless man. "I haven't played golf in 20 years!"
"Will you spend the money on a woman in the red light district instead of food?" the man asked.
"What disease would I get for ten lousy bucks?" exclaimed the homeless man.
"Well," said the man, "I'm not going to give you the money. Instead, I'm going to take you home for a terrific dinner cooked by my wife."
The homeless man was astounded. "Won't your wife be furious with you for doing that? I know I'm dirty and I probably smell pretty disgusting."
The man replied, "That's okay. It's important for her to see what a man looks like after he has given up beer, fishing, golf and sex."

Sen. Saxby Chambliss voted YES
Sen. Johnny Isakson voted YES
So the Senate passed one bill, a good week, passing legislation offered up seven months ago by the house. Reid seems only working on legislation that can't leave any marks, thanks to this bastard there hasn't been a budget passed for three years, first reason was because they did want to be on record for spending like children, the second because he thinks being an obstructionist is good legislative practice.

Recent House Votes:
Workforce Democracy and Fairness Act
http://capwiz.com/congressorg/issues/votes/?votenum=869&chamber=H&congress=1121
Vote Passed (235-188, 10 Not Voting)
The House passed this bill that would build in a waiting period between the time workers file petitions to unionize and the time the vote occurs. The Senate is unlikely to take up the measure.
Rep. David Scott voted NO
The house Democrats seem to be intent on defending the illogical. Unions are supposed to be for the protection and betterment of the members If members do not have transparency and the abi lity to form and change opinions, they are not contributting to their obligation to participation. The union leaders wish to have the power to collect dues, and make political contributions based on alliances rather than benefit to the members. The Democrats are guilty of voting to protect their campaign contributors, no different than they are always accusing Republicans of doing with big business.
Big business, that I would add plays boths sides of all fences.
No matter David, your vote doesn't count for shit, and because of your colleague Harry Reid, your oponent's vote doesn't count for shit either.
To reduce Federal spending and the deficit by terminating taxpayer financing of presidential election campaigns and party conventions and by terminating the Election Assistance Commission
Vote Passed (235-190, 8 Not Voting)
This House bill would terminate taxpayer funding of presidential campaigns and conventions. Public funding began in 1976. The bill would also eliminate the Election Assistance Commission, which was established in 2002 to help states to update their voting machines. The Senate is unlikely to take up the measure.
Rep. David Scott voted NONot sure why the Democrats are against this, because of the disclosure rules the leading presidential candidates do not accept the money anyway.
This program is obsolete.
Let's throw the money into the Social Security lock box.
Regulatory Flexibility Improvements Act of 2011
http://capwiz.com/congressorg/issues/votes/?votenum=880&chamber=H&congress=1121
Vote Passed (263-159, 11 Not Voting)
This bill would allow the Small Business Administration to intervene in the regulatory process when small businesses are affected. The Senate is unlikely to act on the measure, which is also opposed by the White House.
Rep. David Scott voted NODon't know about this one, but I feel pretty safe that if the Reid won't vote on it, the White House threatens to veto it, its a goner. I sense that this is the victim of big business lobbies. Regulations tend to favor the bigger businesses, anything that fast tracks small business complaints would be viewed as a threat to big business.
Regulatory Accountability Act
http://capwiz.com/congressorg/issues/votes/?votenum=888&chamber=H&congress=1121
Vote Passed (253-167, 13 Not Voting)
The House passed this bill that would require federal agencies to choose the "least costly" option when writing new federal regulations. Agencies would also be required to provide indirect cost estimates and predictions of job gains or losses. The White House opposes the bill.
Rep. David Scott voted NOWay to go David, "least costly", why should that ever be the best path to financial security. No doubt this would get a protracted explanation, but it would all be a bull shit lie. If service A = service B and service B is cheapest, B is best for the taxpayer. The real problem, in a business sense in the appraisal of services A and B, there are people in government that are responsible for such judgements, my brother in-law was one of them.

Upcoming Votes:
Regulations From the Executive in Need of Scrutiny Act of 2011 - H.R.10
This House bill would require congressional approval of regulations estimated to cost more than $100 million per year.
We'll be watching.
Farm Dust Regulation Prevention Act of 2011 - H.R.1633
The House is scheduled to take up this bill preventing more stringent farm dust regulations from being promulgated.
What asshole in government came up with this plan. Plowing dirt creates dust. Cutting corn and hay creates dust.

You Are Not In Texas Anymore
Somebody tell Toto. An amusing gaff by POTUS, something I would guess you could find record of many politicians committing.
I am more interested in the comments made before the error, suggesting that we all love Kathleen. By that I guess he is talking about Kathleen Sebelius, the former governor of Kansas and current Secretary of Health and Human Services.
This is the same woman who is under suspicion of obstructing justice in cases where Planned Parenthood aborted babies without parental consent in cases where statutory rape was applicable. Records were mysteriously destroyed on this woman's watch. She is the person where the buck should stop and be held criminally responsible for, at minimum, obstructing justice.
POTUS may love her but I suspect there are some parent in Kansas that do not share his opinion.

Merry Christmas ACLU
It is that time of year again.
Every year we sign a card and send it off to our enemy's headquarters in New York.
This is the cover.
Every person that I asked to sign the card was more than happy to join in.
The address is written above, join the our yearly poke at the atheist war lords with a nice Chrismas card.

Apostasy
After reading today's Patriot Post, decided to look up the definition of the word apostate. The definition in Wikipedia is a little different than the conservative newsletter stated.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apostasy
To the end of the linked page is a listing of countries in which aposty from the state religion is against the law. In the United States this a choice that is Constitutionally protected. This is a facet of Arab culture that should not be respected.

- Saudi Arabia - illegal (death penalty, although there have been no recently reported executions)
- Sudan - illegal (death penalty, although there have only been recent reports of torture, and not of execution)
- Qatar - illegal (death penalty)
- Yemen - illegal (death penalty)

You Couldn't Make This Stuff Up Any Better
A well known, retired, anti-gun proponent, has been arrested for methamphetamine distribution and stands accused by co-conspirators of trading his product for male-male sexual favors.
Retired Colorado Arapahoe County Sheriff Patrick Sullivan has testified before Congress in his support of various Brady-esque gun control initiatives. In 2001 the lawman was named national Sheriff of the Year. Hindsight certainly, but that selection has to rank up there with President Obama being awarded the Nobel Peace Price.
The Denver Post reports a statement by former District Attorney Jim Peters, who said the allegations against the former sheriff are....
No doubt many people were fooled by this dirt bag. But what disgusts me is the quality of man that he Democrats will trot out to testify before Congress. As long as the big mouth's opinion fits, give it a soap box.
It is a shame that Barney Frank is retiring, one might have been able to shag favor from the other, now that both men have lying to Congress, homosexual quid pro quo and drug related issues on their resumes.

The Davis Cup is named a classically inappropriate person in my past, most folks would just call the label AHOTW. In the old days I would have gotten a picture of the Sheriff and put it inside of a picture of a toilet seat.

"He was completely ethical, upright and honest,"this is the part that cracks me up.....
"He just oozed honesty and integrity. He was an outstanding sheriff."Oozed honesty, that's priceless. If I had been a former coworker and not seen this asshole for what he is, I would be keeping my mouth shut right for fear that the rest of the world might learn what dope I am.

I am kind of disappointed that Go Daddy does advertise with big breasts anymore.
For the Christmas season wouldn't it be nice to have a young lady dressed up like an elf or Mrs. Claus?
Junk mail isn't what it used to be.

National Poll: Gingrich 45% Obama 43%
Really happy to see this Rasmussen poll.
Surely the product of a fluid Republican opinion.
I am encourage to see that Newt has overcome most of the falsely attributed negatives applied by the Clintons. At the start of the the campaign, I was one of those that thought he had no chance.
2012 Presidential Matchups - Rasmussen Reports™
This is very encouraging, the Democratic support for POTUS is relatively static and in comparison to Romney, a significant edge.
In my estimation, Romney, as the proclaimed front runner, smells too much like Bush 43, who was liberal-lite. We do not want another POTUS that feels compelled to play footsy with the Democrats. For practical purposes, Newt would negotiate, but the posture and bargaining for conservative ideals would be far more effective.
