You see a neighbors house being burgled. A criminal is crawling out of a window. To emphasize the power at hand, you fire your pistol into the ground. The crook stays put and the police arrive as they should.

Nope, the police in Farmington New Hampshire arrested the neighbor as well.

My employer, at one time had a plant in that town. It was the newest most up to date plant in the system. The plant couldn't make money because they couldn't find talent. Eventually the plant was closed after ten years of losses. It looks like the town hired those folks that deep sixed the business.
If Dennis Flemming were my neighbor, and saved my posessions, I would be buying the man a vacation to someplace warm.
Hopefully the County Attorney will apply common sense and dismiss the charges.
