Covered in many places on the Internet but apparently not at his place of work. MSNBC's Cenk Uygur had this to say about the uproar of the proposed mosque near the former World Trade Center.
"The roughly 70 percent of Americans who oppose the Ground Zero mosque are ignorant."Cenk Uygur is Turk born in Istanbul, graduate of Columbia law, and former member of the New York Bar.
He characterises himself as an moderate liberal agnostic.
I describe him as an Islamic leaning asshole.
By the by Mr. Uygur, Rasmussen says...
Now 62% oppose the building of a mosque near where the World Trade Center stood in Lower Manhattan, compared to 54% in the previous survey. Twenty-five percent (25%) favor allowing the mosque to go ahead, and 13% more are not sure.Using my secular government education, 0.7 x 0.62 = 0.43, 43% of Americans polled are ignorant.
I wonder how that compares with actual illiteracy level of Uygur's backwards-ass homeland?
Today I find another poll at a less conservative site.

The Mosque Near Ground Zero
August 20-24, 2010
Most Americans don’t think it is appropriate to build a mosque and Islamic cultural center two
blocks from the site of the 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. 71% of Americans
say building a mosque so close to the site is not appropriate, while just 22% say it is
appropriate.
Is Building a Mosque Near Ground Zero Appropriate?
Yes 22%
No 71
Now the percentage of ignorant Americans, according to Mr. Uygur, is 49.7%, and moving upward.
